V\u00a0sobotu odpoledne za hust\u00e9 mlhy, do n\u00ed\u017e zahalen byl cel\u00fd n\u00e1\u0161 kraj, bylo zde nuceno p\u0159ist\u00e1ti letadlo mezin\u00e1rodn\u00ed spole\u010dnosti pro vzduchovou dopravu na trati Ca\u0159ihrad \u2013 Bukure\u0161t \u2013 Budape\u0161t \u2013 V\u00edde\u0148 \u2013 Praha \u2013 \u0160trasburk \u2013 Pa\u0159\u00ed\u017e. Letadlo \u0159\u00edzen\u00e9 francouzsk\u00fdm aviatikem Charpentierem po del\u0161\u00edm krou\u017een\u00ed nad m\u011bstem p\u0159ist\u00e1lo na jeteli\u0161ti za domky na lev\u00e9 stran\u011b Pra\u017esk\u00e9 silnice. Rozum\u00ed se, \u017ee z\u00e1hy po jeho p\u0159ist\u00e1n\u00ed shrom\u00e1\u017edilo se na poli n\u011bkolik set div\u00e1k\u016f, kte\u0159\u00ed si se z\u00e1jmem letadlo i aviatika prohl\u00ed\u017eeli. Pon\u011bvad\u017e p. Charpentier \u010desky dob\u0159e nerozum\u00ed, obstaral p. in\u017e. Engl\u00e4nder, kter\u00fd se k\u00a0tomu nahodil, a redaktor Hofrychtr, pro n\u011bho\u017e bylo posl\u00e1no, pot\u0159ebn\u00e9 dorozum\u011bn\u00ed mezi p\u0159\u00edtomn\u00fdm \u010detnictvem a polici\u00ed, kter\u00e1 bd\u011bla nad t\u00edm, aby letadlo nebylo n\u011bjak div\u00e1ky po\u0161kozeno. Pak bylo letadlo pevn\u011b provazy p\u0159iv\u00e1z\u00e1no, aby je snad v\u00edtr nep\u0159evr\u00e1til a po celou noc mu\u017estvem policejn\u00ed str\u00e1\u017ee hl\u00edd\u00e1no. Aviatik Charpentier telefonoval pak z\u00a0\u010detnick\u00e9 stanice do kancel\u00e1\u0159e spole\u010dnosti v\u00a0Praze, aby mu ihned posl\u00e1n byl mechanik, bez n\u011bho\u017e vzlet nemohl by se uskute\u010dniti. Pan Charpentier je mu\u017e opravdu velice sympatick\u00fd a inteligentn\u00ed. Po celou v\u00e1lku slou\u017eil jako aviatik ve francouzsk\u00e9 arm\u00e1d\u011b a nyn\u00ed ji\u017e 2 \u00bd roku je zam\u011bstn\u00e1n na vzduchoplaveck\u00e9 lince svrchu jmenovan\u00e9. \u2013 Odlo\u017eiv v\u00a0hotelu Zitov\u011b sv\u00e9 v\u011bci, odebral se s\u00a0p. in\u017e. Engl\u00e4ndrem na sva\u010dinu, ve\u010der pak v\u00a0hotelu Zitov\u011b ve spole\u010dnosti sle\u010dny Anthoine, pp. Man\u017eel\u016f Engl\u00e4ndrov\u00fdch, p. dra. Neuerna a redaktora Hofrychta vypravoval nejen o sv\u00fdch cest\u00e1ch, ale i v\u00fdsti\u017en\u011b glosoval nyn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed hospod\u00e1\u0159sk\u00e9 a politick\u00e9 pom\u011bry ve Francii. \u2013 V\u00a0ned\u011bli r\u00e1no sta lid\u00ed putovalo po Pra\u017esk\u00e9 silnici k\u00a0letadlu, odpoledne pak si 1500 lid\u00ed p\u0159ihl\u00ed\u017eelo ku vzletu letadla. P\u0159ed odletem pod\u011bkoval p. Charpentier p. in\u017e. Engl\u00e4ndrovi i redaktorovi Hofrychtrovi za to, \u017ee o n\u011bho tady pe\u010dovali a ulo\u017eil redaktorovi t. l., aby tlumo\u010dil jeho d\u00edky v\u0161em, kte\u0159\u00ed jeho 24 hodinov\u00fd nucen\u00fd pobyt v\u00a0N\u011bm. Brod\u011b zp\u0159\u00edjemniti hled\u011bli a ve v\u0161em mu n\u00e1pomocni byli, zejm\u00e9na v\u0161ak \u010detnictvu i policii.
